Vaseline Glass Rosaries

This rosary is made of really wonderful vertically faceted beads. The ends are accented with a picasso finish. The Paters are double capped peachy- rose faceted rounds with vaseline inclusions. The goldtone centerpiece contains "Eau de Lourdes". The Crucifix is fantastic, it has vaseline beads set in the ends. All goldtone metal, 21".

First produced in the mid 1800's, vaseline glass was very popular up until WWII. It is currently enjoying increased popularity and making a comeback. It is created using small, harmless amounts of depleted uranium added as a colorant. It brilliantly flouresces a glowing, neon green when exposed to a blacklight, and also registers on a geiger counter. I make vaseline glass rosaries with new parts, or previously unused vintage parts recently rediscovered in the old jewelry mills in the Northeast. With each rosary I include a blue velour drawstring pouch and a blacklite keychain. See it glow!

This rosary is made of 6mm smooth yellow vaseline glass beads.The Paters are made of a pearlized "custard" vaseline glass. Pressed glass with raised crosses on each side. There are gold accent rings on either side. The Crucifix is very well made, silver and goldtone metal. The center is silvertone metal accented with gold. it also contains water from Lourdes. 21"

This rosary consists of larger, 8mm smooth vaseline beads (single wrapped) and smooth natural garnets that are double capped. All silvertone metal, "Agua de Fatima" centerpiece, and a dimentional crucifix. 28"

This rosary is made of 6mm faceted glass with a hint of a frosty, shimmery coating. The beads are lovely light sapphire in color, with vaseline inclusions. The Paters are rhinestone rondels in between two sapphire/vaseline beads,.capped. The centerpiece is a colorful rendering of the Assumption of Mary. 21"

This rosary contains larger 8mm beads, wrapped on one end. The Paters are quite special. Made with quality, vintage Miriam Haskell pink lucite tulip beads, ab rhinestone rondells, and filigree caps. The centerpiece shown is a St. Jude medal, the Crucifix is a combination of gold and silver. 27"
